Rifle River Falls State Park, Rifle Co May 2019

Our hike today was to Rifle River Falls, but this page includes Rifle Gap and Hardey State Parks since they were all close together and we checked them out also.  The most amazing park was Rifle River Falls.
Two trails here one name Coyote the other Squirrel trail were lined with small caverns.

Of course we had to explore all we could.

I think Sue is telling me to hurry up.
No Sue, I will not crawl in there so you can get a photo

Hoping there are no creatures living in them, I'm off again
We are only showing a few of the caves, this was an experience we had not expected on this trip.

I mentioned about the critters in the cave things, now she wants me to go first.

After all that spelunking we made it to the top of the falls.

The platforms at the top, very unlike the trail to them were roomy and wide.

The views from here were amazing

Amazing beauty and Falls are nice too !

Here is the view from atop the falls
