The town was absolutely beautiful. We walked around the town, had dinner at a riverfront restaurant, and browsed around the shops. A very pleasant way to wind down from our travels.
We sold our home in Sebastian Fl and bought and RV spending almost 5 years traveling the US. We have always loved the Ocala Area for kayaking, and after RVing the nation for over four years it was high on our list for a retirement nest. Finding and falling in love with On Top of the World community, Ocala became our home.

Natchitoches, LA
Our plans were to head from New Orleans to Arkansas. Since the distance was so far, we decided to stop along the way. Good decision since it was raining again as we left New Orleans. We had scheduled a trip to a town in Louisiana called Natchitoches. The campground, Grand Ecore RV was brand new and beautiful. Probably the best facilities we had ever seen in a campground. And the town, was very charming. So charming in fact, that it is the town Steel Magnolias was filmed there. It was a great place for us to relax after a 5 hour drive, mostly in the rain.
