Arkansas

Arkansas, what a pleasant surprise.  We decided to stay south for a little while longer, so we headed to Arkansas for a week.  Having little knowledge of the state, we thought, why not  see what Arkansas has to offer.  Were we ever glad we decided to go.  Hot Springs is very charming, with historic old buildings, beautiful parks and trails.

We enjoyed history lessons at the Clinton Presidential and Hot Springs Central High School.  It is hard to imagine that people could be so cruel to others, just because of the color of their skin.

The state park we stayed at was amazing.  Recently renovated, our site was beautiful with a lake view..  We were basically unplugged from the internet and phones, and really enjoyed the experience.  We would definitely go back to see what else this beautiful state has to offer.

After a day of exploring Arkansas, we retreated to our Home
which was parked in Lake Ouachita State Park which is very
near Hot Springs.  There was no TV, Internet, and no Cell
service.   Nothing to do but pour a glass of wine and enjoy
these views from our front step of the sunset over the
mountain and Lake Ouachita (pronounced Wash-i -taw)
