Lancaster PA
I must say, the drive to Lancaster was beautiful. This part of Pennsylvania is amazing, full of rolling hillside. Once you are off the interstate, ever turn is picture worthy. Full of fields of corn, and barns. And lest I forget, the occasionally horse and carriage. After over 20 years in Florida, I found it to be so beautiful, and so different. I love it. Our campground (Circle M in Lancaster) also has rolling hills. It is very nice here, so far it is our favorite campground. We have enjoyed walking around, and using the outside pool. They have an inside pool as well. I walked up one of the roads in the campground, and my Fitbit congratulated me for climbing 20 floors. LOL
On our first full day, we decided to explore a museum called Lancasterhistory.org, which is next to President James Buchanan's home in Lancaster. I have to say the home and tour was much more informative than the museum of Lancaster, which was also on the property. The grounds were beautiful, and while I can't say I ever though about James Buchanan, our 15th President, before this trip, I enjoyed learning about him, and viewing his home.
Our next day trip was to Hersey Factory tour. The tour was a nice experience, although it is not like the tour I remember as a child. It is now more of an amusement ride. Neither of us enjoy amusement parks like we used to, so we did not go to the Herseypark.
While we were in the area we looked for a new GPS. We had been using Google Maps, and while that worked for us up to now, with all the low clearance and narrow roads there are up north, we needed something that would help us avoid tight spots when we are traveling with the camper. After much reserch on RV oriented GPS units we found it in
a Garmin RV770 LMT-S. As we are heading farther north to New England tomorrow, we are hoping that this will keep us
safer and where we need to be. We have been testing it out all week, and so far, so good.

Susquehanna River
We enjoyed hiking on trails to get a view of the Susquehanna River. We hiked on two trails one day, and saw both views of the river, and the farms below. It was a wonderful day for a hike. And I once again impressed my fitbit.
Lititz, PA
I took this photo for Owen. I think he would love to play here.
What brought us to Lititz, PA was the first pretzel factory in the US. It was just something that distinguished it from the surrounding towns. What made us LOVE it, was a quaint park with a spring in it. It was beautiful. The spring water was crystal clear. And watching the ducks play in the water, and glide down the spring like it was a water park, was charming. The old historic buildings were also amazing. We had a great time in Lititz. And we also received an "Official Pretzel Twister" certificate, after we toured the pretzel factory. Who says we don't know how to have fun. Tomorrow. 8/22/18 we leave for Massachusetts
