Sealions on Monterrey pier |
As we moved south in California, we decided to take a trip to Monterrey California. The coast of California is beautiful, there is a different spectacular view around every corner. The ocean looks so inviting. But don't let looks fool you. It is way too cold to go into without a wet suit. We drove from Monterrey to Big Sur and we loved the drive. Well I did. As the driver, Dave doesn't have quite the opportunity to enjoy the scenery, as we again found ourselves driving s along steep cliffs, but wow, what a view. I am so glad he doesn't mind driving. Over the past couple of years he has grown more relaxed on these mountain passes. These roads are much more stressful than Florida coastal roads. I am very impressed with his driving and happy to be able to enjoy the beautiful scenery. There is an abundance of sea life close to shore, to watch and listen to. Makes for a very enjoyable day. We loved watching the sealions, they were very active at the pier.
