Arches National Park, Moab Utah May 2019

All of our adventures in New Mexico and Utah have involved narrow rugged paths with steep climbs and Arches National Park was no exception.  The climb to Delicate Arch, the most famous arch, was the most strenuous of them all.  It not only involved steep climbs but also walking along narrow ledges with long drop offs.
Sue can last longer than me but even she was ready for this hike to end.  The other hikes in the park involved steep climbs and and rugged trails but not quite as bad.   The views when we reached the summits or trail end were always spectacular and justified the effort involved.  I left a note in the suggestion box that they should serve beer at the end of the hike, Sue told me not to get my hopes up.

Delicate Arch, this is the most famous of the arches and also
Utah's state symbol.

Elephant Parade (you have to use your imagination)

Another steep 2 mile trail to Landscape Arch, this hike was spectacular because the paths went between the "fins" the of rock formations, which was like walking in a wind tunnel.  I'm glad it was blowing up hill of the climb.

Garden of Eden

Delicate Arch, the trail to Delicate Arch was a killer.  Steep climbs, narrow trails with ledges that had sheer drop offs.  The trails were not for the weak at heart.

We left the park and found pizza and beer in Moab,  Did that ever hit the spot.
