Well this week we are in Thousand Trails Peace River Resort in the sprawling metropolis of Zolfo Springs Florida. Our plans for kayaking the Peace River were squashed by the fact that all the rain they received before we got here caused the river to be at a flood stage and everyone recommended that we not try to navigate it. The area we found does not provide as much entertainment as we were hoping for but we did get some hiking in at the State Parks nearby. The grounds are nice, beautiful pool. Sue and I are brushing up on our billiards skills. We are both a little rusty. Who knows, maybe with time we can find a new career as pool sharks. We will be brushing up on our bowling skills tomorrow.
We will come back here in the future, to find out what the Peace River is like to kayak.
