Time for the maiden voyage in our new Hobie Passports, after a tedious research and choosing process we have our new kayaks. This is our test trip and with the current and winds we encountered they proved to us that we made a great decision. These boats traveled upstream against the current with ease and also against the strong winds (15kts). The current did not slow our traveling the Florida Springs both directions.
Silver Springs and the Silver River are always a beautiful paddle, anhingas, cormorants, manatees, alligators, and of course lots of fish and turtles greeted us along our path. The view, the company, the success of our kayaks capabilities, it was a great day.
