Grand Canyon - of Yellowstone

The Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone is an area that is very different from the rest of the park.  It is here that the Yellowstone River cuts thru to create a canyon.  There are many hikes, and views of the upper and lower falls.   It is another beautiful part of Yellowstone, without the geyser activity.

We climbed down a mountain to get the best view of the falls.  It was wonderful exercise, and while the climb down was fun, the climb back up was torture.  We always take at least one couple of mile hike while we are out exploring.  It can be quite exhausting at times.

A view from down below as we prepared to climb up to the top of
this hill, after viewing the waterfall.  It was a long climb up on a winding dirt path all the way to the top of the mount.
