We are presently staying in Wareham Massachusetts at Gateway to Cape Cod RV Resort. The park is conveniently located near our visiting places like Boston, Plymouth, New Bedford, Providence, Newport Rhode Island and of course Cape Cod's numerous historical and scenic attractions. But what we didn't plan on was the entertainment that our own RV park provided for us.
This is the end of their season and the park is preparing to close for the season, and as a going away party they had Halloween early. With a contest for best decorated site, hayrides, trick or treating, pizza parties, and even a haunted house.
Below are a few of the decorated sites in the park, everyone seemed to have some type of decorations to present. The park was packed and we enjoyed walking around to see and attend some of the activities. It was two days where children not only dressed in their costumes, but to our entertainment for two days they lived the parts of the characters they depicted.
It was a shame to see people taking down their spokey creations on Sunday night and Monday morning, and now we see various types of RV's ambling out the front gate to head back to their homes. Many have said they have to head back to set up the decorations in the yard at home.
Definitely this was a surprising event we enjoyed in addition to all of our travels.
